Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed as India's T20I captain for the Sri Lanka series and it is a dawn of a new era after retirement of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja from T20Is.

SKY, as Suryakumar Yadav is fondly known has seen a swift rise in his stature since he made his debut for India in 2021. There are lot of people who are behind the scenes in a development of a player, but the role of a childhood coach is always special, and it is the same for Suryakumar Yadav who has always talked highly about his childhood coach, Ashok Aswalkar.

Suryakumar Yadav's Coach Humiliated

The same celebrated coach has now revealed that he has lot his job at the BARC ground where he was working since 1989-90. He added that he started off with a Rs 3000 salary and when he lost his job in December 2023, he was receiving 26,000 Rs salary per month as groundsman and 15,000 for coaching.

"I joined the BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre)  ground in 1989-90 and was assisting Jagannath Phanse as a groundsman and coach. I started at a monthly salary of Rs. 3000 and when they (ASMC) discontinued my services in December 2023, I was getting Rs. 26,000 per month for the groundsman job and Rs 15,000 for coaching from a coaching agency."

The coach added that he did not even tell his family members of the job lost but told the whole issue to Suryakumar Yadav and added that SKY has not entertained the person who was responsible for his removal.

"I didn't even tell my family members that I had lost my job. I just messaged Surya to say that I lost my job and told him who was responsible for the damage. Surya in response stopped entertaining that particular person."

The head of the organisation though has come up with a different side where he mentioned that they are opened to take Ashok Aswalkar back, and his removal was purely because of some misunderstanding.

It would be intersting to see how the drama unfolds, but it is expected that the coach of India's T20I captain is likely to get his due credit and attention in the coming future.
