Indian cricketers Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube have confirmed their availability for the quarterfinal round of the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season. Both Suryakumar and Dube play for Mumbai in domestic cricket, but are currently in the middle of India’s home series against the visiting English team.
The Mumbai cricket team is slated to go up against Haryana in the third quarterfinal match of the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy from February 8 onwards at the CH Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Rohtak.
Suryakumar And Shivam Dube To Play Ranji Trophy
As per Express Sports, Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and his national teammate Shivam Dube have both reportedly confirmed their availability for Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy quarterfinal match against Haryana between February 8 and February 12.
With India’s T20I series against England set to conclude on February 2, neither Suryakumar nor Shivam are included in Team India’s squad for the subsequent ODI matches. Their exclusion will give them roughly a week of breathing space before making their respective returns to Mumbai’s domestic structure.
Dube And SKY's Past Domestic Performances
Prior to India’s T20I series against England, Shivam Dube played a handful of Vijay Hazare as well as Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches for Mumbai in the prevailing 2024-25 Indian domestic season. Moreover, the fast-bowling all-rounder also played Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir in Mumbai between January 23 and January 25 alongside fellow internationals Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer and senior man Ajinkya Rahane.
Suryakumar Yadav, on the other hand, played five Vijay Hazare Trophy matches for Mumbai after starring in their title-winning Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign back in December 2024.
Nonetheless, the Mumbai cricket team reached the quarterfinals of the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season by finishing second on the Elite Group A points table.
