The first match of their three-T20I series will be played on December 10 at the Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban. The subsequent two fixtures will be played at Gqeberha and Johannesburg on December 12 and December 14 respectively.

The series serve an important chapter in India and South Africa’s cricketing calendar, as they constitute an integral part of their dress rehearsal for next year’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States.

Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed as Indian captain in the place of injured Hardik Pandya, while Aiden Markram will be leading the Proteas in the absence of a number of senior members in the squad.
