Former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Suresh Raina caught up with his long-time friend and former teammate MS Dhoni. On Tuesday, Raina shared a picture of himself with Dhoni on Instagra, which set the internet ablaze and made CSK fans nostalgic.

Raina Posts Heartwarming Picture With Dhoni 

The southpaw captioned the picture: "Always a pleasure catching up with you mahi bhai!'  The snapshot showed the iconic duo sharing smiles as they displayed their strong bond that has been built over years of playing together for India and CSK.

It is worth mentioning that the amazing bonding between Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni has always been the talk of the town, from the ODI World Cup in 2011 to the Champions Trophy in 2013. 

From on-field chemistry to off-field bonding, the two sensationally announced their retirement from international cricket on the exact date, 15th August 2020, which further shows their close-knit relationship.

Raina, 35, who called time on his IPL career after the 2022 edition, is still among the top scorers in the competition with 5528 runs in 205 matches.


Will MS Dhoni Play IPL 2025?

Meanwhile, the question as to whether MS Dhoni will continue his IPL journey is done and dusted. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed on October 26 that Dhoni would, in fact, feature in the 2025 edition.

"When he is ready what else (do) we want. We are happy," said Viswanathan to Cricbuzz. This call put months of speculation to rest for fans as they are now over the moon to see Dhoni wear the yellow jersey once more.

At 43, Dhoni seems nowhere near slowing down. The hunger for the game seems as high as ever, having won a record five IPL titles as captain of CSK. With 5,243 runs and 24 half-centuries for his repertoire across 264 appearances in the IPL, Dhoni is all geared up to write another chapter in his incredible career.
