Ahead of the upcoming 2024 edition of The Hundred, the Northern Superchargers have made two notable changes to their squad due to the unavailability of key players.

Australian southpaw Ben Dwarshuis will step in to replace Ben Stokes for the first four matches of the tournament.

Ben Stokes, the English all-rounder and Test captain, will be busy with the third Test against the West Indies at Edgbaston starting on July 26, making him unavailable for The Hundred's initial games.

Additionally, the right-arm pacer Pat Brown will join the Superchargers as a replacement for Harry Brook for the first two fixtures.

Brook is set to participate in the WI Test series and thus will miss the Superchargers' opening games against Trent Rockets and Southern Brave.

Northern Superchargers will begin their Hundred 2024 campaign against Trent Rockets at Headingley, Leeds on July 26.

The team’s management has expressed confidence that the replacements will adequately fill the void left by the absent stars and help drive the Superchargers' performance in the tournament.

The Hundred 2024 kicks off on July 23, with defending champions Oval Invincibles taking on Birmingham Phoenix in the tournament opener at the iconic Kennington Oval in London.
