Yuvraj Heaps Praise On Gill At Charity Gala
During the charity gala, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh took the opportunity to praise India’s Test captain, Shubman Gill, for his achievements during the Edgbaston Test against England.
"I'm very proud of Shubman Gill and I'm sure that his father will also be very proud. I'm very impressed with the way Gill led and batted. I hope that he goes on to make a lot of centuries in international cricket," Yuvraj told ANI.
Gill scored 269 and 161 in two innings, accumulating the highest runs in a Test game by an Indian batter. His batting masterclass helped India set a massive 608-run target for England, which they couldn’t achieve, and handed the visitors a 336-run record win.
