Sri Lanka unveiled a 17-member squad for the upcoming women’s ODI tri-series against India and South Africa, commencing April 27 on home soil. The Chamari Athapaththu-led side, fresh from a 2-0 ODI series defeat in New Zealand, introduced eight changes to their lineup. 

Uncapped spinner Malki Madara earned her maiden ODI call-up following a standout T20I debut in New Zealand, where she played a pivotal role in Sri Lanka’s lone victory during the tour.

The squad sees the return of experienced players, including batter Vishmi Gunaratne, all-rounder Nilakshi Silva, and opener Hasini Perera, alongside emerging talents like Piumi Wathsala. Notably, Madara’s inclusion and the recall of spinner Inoka Ranaweera highlight Sri Lanka’s focus on bolstering their bowling attack.
