Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have continued the IPL tradition of community outreach by giving over 400 young fans a memorable live match experience during the TATA IPL 2025 season.

Following in the footsteps of Mumbai Indians’ similar initiatives, SRH engaged their “Orange Army” in a heartwarming event ahead of their recent clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

SRH Makes Dreams Come True for Young Fans

In the social media clip shared by Sunrisers Hyderabad, a woman managing the children shared in a video, “So we work with more than 400 children and today we are here with 270 children. For the last two days, they are not sleeping because they want to watch this live!”

The excitement and anticipation among the youngsters were palpable, reflecting the deep connection SRH has fostered with its 'Orange Army'.

One young boy enthusiastically named his favourite players, saying, “My favourite player is Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen.” The children were also treated to T-shirts, snacks, goodies, and comfortable bus travel, making the day “perfectly planned and well-organized,” according to the event coordinator. “This is a day these kids will remember for a lifetime,” she added.

This initiative is part of SRH’s ongoing efforts to inspire underprivileged children and strengthen fan loyalty, a practice common among IPL franchises to create social impact beyond the boundary ropes.

SRH's Playoff Hopes Dashed

On the cricketing front, SRH’s recent match against Delhi Capitals was dramatically affected by weather. Pat Cummins led the bowling charge, taking three wickets in a fiery spell that had DC reeling at 26/4 in the powerplay. However, persistent rain forced the game to be abandoned after the first innings, with DC posting 133/7.

Both teams shared a point, but the no-result officially ended SRH’s playoff hopes in IPL 2025. Despite the disappointment on the field, SRH’s commitment to their fans remains unwavering and will also stay the same for the future seasons too.
