Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli received a heartwarming reception as he touched down at Colombo airport on Monday, ahead of India's upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Kohli, along with skipper Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, and Harshit Rana, also arrived earlier that day. 

This series marks a significant return for both Virat Kohli and Rohit to ODI cricket after their last appearance in November 2023, following India's triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024.


Virat Kohli Receives Memento From Sri Lankan Net Bowlers 

Virat was also seen practising hard in a net session ahead of the series. In a recent post that has gone viral on the internet, Sri Lankan net bowlers gifted Kohli a special memento and took pictures with him after the training session.

Virat Kohli's Record Against Sri Lanka In ODI's

Virat Kohli's presence in Sri Lanka carries significant weight, given his impressive record against the host nation in ODIs. He has scored 2,594 runs in 53 matches at a remarkable average of 63.26, including 10 centuries and 12 fifties.

The upcoming series is pivotal for Kohli as he aims to re-establish his rhythm in the 50-over format. This series also marks his first ODI appearance since announcing his retirement from T20 internationals.
