Hardik Pandya started the ODI World Cup 2023 for India. However, during the Bangladesh match, the all-rounder got injured and was ruled out for the rest of the tournament. Prasidh Krishna who is known for his hit-the-deck style of bowling was named as the replacement of Pandya for the tournament. When it comes to the Champions Trophy 2025 squad, Kirshna has not been selected to be a part of the squad.

The pace-bowling all-rounder was a part of the squad that played ODI World Cup 2023. Shardul Thakur played three matches for the team and picked up only two wickets in them. Since then, Thakur has gone out of the scheme of things of India selection and has not been included in the 15-member squad for CT 2025.

3. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj was a part of the Indian set-up in the ODIs even during the latest series in the format. However, keeping his current form in mind and the lack of consistency in his performances, the Indian team has decided to exclude him from the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The wicket-keeper batter was a part of the ODI World Cup 2023 squad. One of the main reasons Ishan Kishan played in the tournament was the absence of Rishabh Pant due to the fatal accident he had. However, his lack of performance at the highest level has got him out of the main scheme of things and he was not considered for a spot in the Champions Trophy 2025 squad.

1. Suryakumar Yadav

The number one T20I batter in the world, Suryakumar Yadav was a part of the ODI 2023 WC squad of India. In fact, he was a part of the playing XI that played in the summit clash. According to some of the Indian fans, the lack of intent during his innings in the final match was the reason that the home team failed to win the trophy. After that, Surya was ignored as a part of the ODI set-up and has not been included in the CT 2025 squad.

Retired - Ravichandran Ashwin

The Indian off-spinner was a part of the Indian team in the ODI World Cup 2023.
