The Indian Premier League is considered the franchise league in the world at present. The league has been the breeding ground of domestic talents over the years and provided the scope for many rising stars to showcase their talent at the highest level.

Even though there have been some great stories of players rising from the grassroots level to the peaks of stardoms in IPL, there have been instances where the franchises have missed out on signing some top-tier domestic talents.

In this article, we will take a look at three such talents whom SRH missed out on signing during the IPL 2025 mega auction from their local league. Well, first of all, there might be confusion about the local T20 tournament for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hyderabad is a city in Telangana at present. However, for the sake of this article, we can consider the Andhra Premier League as their local league as it is the one occurring in Hyderabad's nearest vicinity.

3. Yeddala Reddy

The right-arm medium-fast bowler was the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament. In only five matches,  Yeddala Reddy picked up nine wickets at an economy of 8.86 with a strike rate and an average of 10.22 and 15.11 respectively. This bowler at a base price of ₹ 30 Lakhs could have been a great addition to the SRH side increasing the depth and flexibility of the team's bowling attack.

2. KS Bharat

KS Bharat has represented India in Tests and has also played in the IPL before. However, in the IPL 2025 mega auction, he was not picked up by any team. The fact that he scored 341 runs in 8 matches at an average of 68.20 while maintaining a strike rate of 153.60 signifies the impact he had on his team's batting. Bharat was one of the prime reasons that Vizag Warriors went on to win the tournament's latest addition. With his keeping abilities, Bharat could have been a valuable addition to the SRH side.
