The Royal Challengers Bengaluru are currently playing against the Gujarat Titans in the 14th match of IPL 2025. The match is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Shubman Gill, the captain of the GT team won the toss ahead of the game and put the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to bat. Mohammed Siraj who was released by RCB ahead of IPL 2025 auction destroyed the top order of his ex-team by picking up the two wickets. The West Indian opener was a powerhouse and served RCB very well for a few seasons. However, they released him ahead of IPL 2018. 

In the 28th match of IPL 2019, Chris Gayle destroyed the bowling of his ex-RCB team. The southpaw was playing for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and played an impactful knock batting first in the game.

Gayle scored 99 runs of 64 balls and remained unbeaten in the middle. His effort helped the team to post a fighting total if 173/4 at the end of the 20 overs. 

RCB led by Virat Kohli's 67 off 53 and AB de Villiers' 59 off 38 chased down the target in 19.2 overs losing only a couple of wickets. Even though, the effort by Gayle was in a losing effort, it was a knock that made the management repent their decision of releasing him for a while at the least.

2. Mohammed Siraj - 3/19 (4 Overs) in 2025 At M.Chinnaswamy Stadium

Mohammed Siraj's performance at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium stays second in the list. The wickets that he picked up at the beginning of the innings pushed the RCB on the back foot. 

Besides the two wickets, Siraj also took up wicket towards the end of the innings and added to his tally. Siraj was not only effective but also economical in the spell. His efforts ensured that RCB were restricted to a moderate total of 169/8 at the end of their 20 overs.

In IPL 2018, KL Rahul arrive at the Punjab Kings after he was released by Royal Challengers Bengaluru. During IPL 2020, KL Rahul played a memorable knock against his ex-team mate. 

While batting first in the 6th match of IPL 2020, KL Rahul scored 132 runs off 69 balls. The innings was decorated with 14 fours and seven 6s. His innings helped Punjab post a mammoth total of 206/3 at the end of the 20 overs.

In reply, RCB were bundled out in the 17th over at 109 runs. It was KL Rahul's innings that set up the massive win for the Kings.
