The internet once again proved it is the wildest stadium when cricket fever takes over. After Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 7 in RCB’s first home game of IPL 2025 by Gujarat Titans’ Arshad Khan, fans went into full meltdown mode but they ended up crashing the wrong party.

Fans Flood Arshad Warsi’s Comments After Kohli’s Dismissal By Arshad Khan

Instead of channelling their emotions toward the bowler’s profile, some passionate fans mistook Arshad Khan for actor Arshad Warsi, yes, Circuit from the Munna Bhai franchise and bombarded the veteran actor’s Instagram with hilarious and emotional comments.

It all started when Arshad Khan bowled a short one and Kohli went for the pull. The shot didn’t get the elevation as the RCB stalwart was caught at deep fine leg. A stunned Chinnaswamy crowd was left speechless. But fans on social media? Not so much.

One comment on Arshad Warsi’s recent Instagram post read: “Kohli ko out kyu kia 😢”

Another fan wrote dramatically: “Dekh lunga terko” – straight out of a Bollywood scene.

Flashbacks To Varun Dhawan-Varun Chakravarthy Banter

This isn't the first time cricket fans have mixed up names. Not too long ago, during Varun Chakravarthy’s Champions Trophy heroics, fans stormed Varun Dhawan’s comment section thinking he was the mystery spinner himself. That led to a hilarious back-and-forth where both Varuns joined in on the fun.

RCB vs GT Live Score

Kohli’s early exit triggered a domino effect as RCB quickly slumped to 42/4, losing key wickets in the blink of an eye. But just when the innings seemed to be spiralling out of control, Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma joined forces to steady the ship with a gritty 52-run stand.

Livingstone top-scored with a fighting 54 off 40 while Jitesh chipped in with a handy 33. At the time of writing, RCB are hanging on at 152/7 after 18.4 overs with Tim David (15*) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1*) looking to push them past the 170-mark.
