Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a video of Gaddafi Stadium which is currently undergoing renovation for the Champions Trophy 2025. However, the quality of the stadium looks subpar in the video and fans on the internet trolled the board heavily.

Pakistan is hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 edition jointly with UAE. The tournament is set to begin on February 19. However, the host nation’s preparations are still underway.

The board decided to renovate the stadiums to improve its quality. However, with the deadline already passed, the stadiums still look incomplete.

Fans trolls PCB with memes on social media

Recently, PCB shared a video on their X handle, unveiling the new look of the Gaddafi Stadium. However, the venue looked far from being ready to host international games. They tried to portray the renovated stadium as ‘stunning,’ but it backfired as fans heavily trolled the board in the comment section.

Here are the top 10 memes picked out from the comment section.

Gaddafi Stadium to get a statue

Lahore's iconic Gaddafi Stadium is gearing up for a grand transformation as it prepares to host the highly-anticipated Champions Trophy 2025.

According to a report from GEO TV, a 25-foot high ‘running man’ statue, crafted from two tonnes of iron, is currently under construction on the special directives of the Punjab government. The statue will be mounted at the stadium, giving a very attractive feature to its entrance.

Notably, as the venue undergoes its final renovation touches, several enhancements are being introduced, including a new road linking the main building to the stadium, two high-tech screens for an improved viewing experience, and the activation of LED floodlights on all six towers.
