Yashasvi Jaiswal misses 200 after a mix-up with Shubman Gill
Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant innings ended in heartbreak during the second Test against West Indies in Delhi when a mix-up with skipper Shubman Gill led to his run-out on 175. Looking set for a double hundred, Jaiswal was halfway down the pitch for a single before Gill sent him back, leaving him stranded. Visibly frustrated, Jaiswal gestured in disbelief as replays showed the dismissal was close.
BCCI planning to get Mohsin Naqvi sacked
The BCCI is reportedly seeking the removal of PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi from his ICC director role after the Asia Cup trophy controversy. Naqvi, who withheld the trophy following India’s refusal to accept it from him, allegedly overstepped his authority as ACC chairman, prompting BCCI to escalate the issue to ICC. Notably, Naqvi has directed ACC authorities to keep the trophy locked and restrict movement until his further order.
