Making a comeback to the Indian cricket team could have not been brighter for Shreyas Iyer, who not just performed consistently but also received the best fielder medal for his top-gun catches as a fielder. The medal was awarded to him by India's vice captain, Shubman Gill, after the third ODI match against England concluded at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.
During the three-match series against England, Iyer was the top performer, remaining the second highest run-scorer with 181 runs at an average of 60.33. His two fifties proved his capability of holding innings together and playing tough knocks when the situation demanded, even more ensuring his place as a reliable name in the Indian ODI team.
In the video uploaded by BCCI's official handle, Shreyas Iyer beat Shubman Gill and Harshit Rana to get the reward. The dressing comprising of coach Gautam Gambhir and the entire Indian team looked visibly cheerful and happy after Iyer was announced as the winner of the best fielder of the series.

Shreyas Iyer made a remarkable achievement by becoming the fastest Indian batter to reach 25 scores of 50 or more in ODIs, surpassing the legendary Virat Kohli. Iyer accomplished this in just 60 innings, beating Kohli's record of 68 innings. This milestone highlights his impressive consistency and growing stature in India's middle order. Even though he is not a member of the Indian T20I and Test teams, the 30-year-old remains as consistent in the 50-over format.
