The wait is over as Pakistan have announced their playing XI for the series deciding 3rd Test Vs England at the Rawalpindi Stadium. After a convincing victory in the second Test, Pakistan have shown faith in the team and have gone in with an unchanged XI for the upcoming clash.
The surface at the Pindi Stadium will support the spinners as Pakistan deliberately placed heaters to dry out the surface. As a result, the home side have gone in with a spin-dominant side, with four spin bowling options and a solitary pacer in Aamir Jamal.
There were doubts raised on the fitness of Aamir Jamal, but the pacer has received a green light for the upcoming Rawalpindi Test. The onus will once again rest on the shoulders of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan. The duo wreaked havoc in the Multan Test as England crumbled under pressure in the second innings.
The newly formed selection panel have shown trust in a young side and the batting order remains the same, and the management trusts the players to deliver the goods in this crucial Test match.
Pakistan eye historic series win under Shan Masood
The last time Pakistan won a Test series at home was way back in 2021, when they defeated South Africa. Since then, teams have come to their shores and defeated them with utmost ease. However, Pakistan now have a great chance to capture the series.
The spin-friendly deck works in their favour and this could turn out to be Shan Masood's first-ever series victory as the Pakistan skipper. Interestingly, just like Pakistan, England have also gone in with an unchanged side.
