Ahead of the crucial third ODI, there is some development around Pakistan for the upcoming tri-series against UAE and Afghanistan starting on August 29. Notably, according to Geo Super the PCB is planning to rest Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf for the upcoming tri-series.
Shaheen Afridi And Haris Rauf To Be Rested For Tri-Series
The apex cricket board of Pakistan is looking at workload management of their best bowlers since the Asia Cup is of paramount interest, and the continental cup is all set to begin from September 9 as the Men in Green will look to seal their third title.
Shaheen and Rauf will join the team in the UAE a few days ahead of the Asia Cup 2025. Meanwhile, for the tri-series, the report mentioned that the PCB is likely to call up Salman Mirza and all-rounder Ahmed Daniyal, who did well for the Men in Green against Bangladesh.
Talking about Shaheen and Rauf, the former is present with Pakistan for the ongoing ODI series against the West Indies, but Rauf is still recovering from a hamstring injury, which he sustained during the Major Cricket League (MCL).
