Mumbai's prolific run-getter in domestic cricket, batter Sarfaraz Khan got married on Sunday evening in a private wedding in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district to a local girl.

Khan took to the social media platform Instagram and informed his well-wishers, and fans about the same via a post captioned ' Alhamdulillah married ❤️'. As quoted by Hindustan Times, Khan, 25, speaking about his marriage, stated that it was his destiny to get married in Kashmir. 

Here's what Khan said

"The Almighty had decided that it was my destiny to get married in Kashmir. I have received a lot of love here and whenever I have time I will visit here."

Several photos and videos are being circulated over social media, where Khan dressed in an all-black 'Sherwani' could be seen taking part in various rituals.

Khan has played 37 First-Class matches and amassed 3,505 runs with 13 centuries, with a best of 301*. In 26 List-A matches, the former Royal Challengers Bangalore player has scored 469 runs with two tons.
