Lancashire overcame Nottinghamshire in a thrilling quarter-final at Blackpool’s Stanley Park on August 26. The win helped them set a semi-final date with Group A table-toppers Sussex Sharks, with the contest scheduled to be held on August 30.

The high-scoring quarter-final affair kicked-off with Nottinghamshire piling up 338-8 from their 50 overs. Opener Ben Slater charted a ton and shared 98 and 62-run stands with opener Sol Budinger and number three Lyndon James respectively.

Matthew Montgomery brought the thunder in the death overs with his 56-ball 78 while Brett Hutton sparked an entertaining cameo through his 13-ball 24.

Notably, Croft went ahead to even achieve his ton, and scored the winning runs with the tail in the penultimate over of the innings. His nervy 115* from just 105 balls featured 10 boundaries and two sixes, as he held off a charging Brett Hutton and Dane Patterson amidst the pressures of a knockout run-chase.
