The latest weekly ICC ODI rankings are out, and as expected, Rohit Sharma is still the No. 1 batter in the world with 781 ratings. The former India captain has kept his top spot with another solid performance in the recent South Africa series.

Right behind him now is Virat Kohli, who has moved up to the No. 2 position with 773 ratings. Notably, Virat was in outstanding form during the home ODI series against South Africa, scoring two centuries and one fifty.

It is worth mentioning that Virat made 302 runs in just three innings, with a strike rate of 117.05 and an impressive average of 151. His brilliant batting helped India win the series 2–1 and pushed him past Daryl Mitchell and Ibrahim Zadran, jumping from No. 4 to No. 2.

Rohit also had a good series, scoring 146 runs, including two fifties. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill stayed at No. 5 in the rankings, even though he missed the series due to a neck injury.

Pandya, Brevis rise notably in updated ICC rankings

Meanwhile, in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, India’s Hardik Pandya has climbed to the No. 4 spot after jumping three places. He moved ahead of Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Nabi and Romario Shepherd. This rise comes after Hardik, returning from injury, impressed with a solid unbeaten 59 in the first T20I against South Africa.

In the T20I batting rankings, South Africa’s young star Dewald Brevis has broken into the top 10 for the first time. He moved up three spots and is now ranked No. 8 after some strong recent performances.

On the bowling side, Jasprit Bumrah made a big leap in the T20I bowler rankings. He jumped six places to reach No. 25 after taking two wickets in the first T20I in Cuttack. Arshdeep Singh also continued his rise, moving up three spots to claim the No. 20 position among T20I bowlers.
