India's full-time captain across formats, Rohit Sharma, is all set to be back as the opener for the nation when they go up against Australia in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. As reported by TOI Sports, Rohit will return to his original position to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal, which means KL Rahul will bat at No. 3.

At the same time, there is no clarity where Shubman Gill will bat for India. In fact, don't be surprised if Gill gets dropped from the playing XI.
