Following the World Cup victory, Rohit Sharma recently travelled back to Dallas to inaugurate the CricKingdom Cricket Academy, which marked the 42nd academy for the franchise, spanning six countries.

The dynamic cricketer is the brand ambassador for CricKingdom, reportedly committed to attending the opening even before the World Cup.
The country recently hosted the T20 World Cup, which has significantly boosted cricket's popularity there. The new academy in Dallas, the second one in the city, caters to this growing enthusiasm.
On the cricketing front, Rohit Sharma has retired from T20 International cricket to focus on ODIs and Test formats. During India's successful campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024, the dynamic opener played a pivotal role as the tournament's second-highest run-scorer.
He amassed 257 runs in eight innings at an average of 36.71 and a strike rate of 156.70, including three half-centuries. His standout performance came against Australia in the Super 8 stage, where he smashed an unbeaten 92 off 41 balls.
His third half-century came in the crucial semifinal against England, scoring 57 off 39 balls with six fours and two sixes.
There were several reports, that Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah will be rested against Sri Lanka.
On special request of newly appointed head coach, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma is all set and confirmed to lead India in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting at the end of the month.
