In a significant turn of events, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named legendary former cricketer Roger Binny as its president. Binny, who has previously worked as a national selector, succeeded Sourav Ganguly in this process.

In his reaction, the 1983 World Cup winner has expressed the primary objectives that he wants to achieve as the BCCI president. As Binny put it, he will primarily ensure two things; preventing injuries to the Indian players and upgrading the playing conditions, especially the pitches in the country.

Here's what Binny stated

"As the BCCI president, I want to primarily focus on two things. First is the prevention of injuries to the players. Jasprit Bumrah got injured just before the World Cup, which affected the whole plan. Second, I want to focus on the pitches in the country."

As per reports doing the rounds earlier, Binny took over the reins as the BCCI president. He is someone known for his integrity and sincerity, which is why we expect him to bring the aforementioned reforms for the betterment of Indian cricket.
