Pakistan's former spinner Danish Kaneria ignored Mohammad Rizwan to choose Indian keeper-batter Rishabh Pant over him in an interesting 'this or that' session. Pant and Rizwan have been absolute match-winners for their respective teams. While Pant is known for his flamboyant stroke play and fearless approach, Rizwan's consistency makes him one of Pakistan's key players in international cricket.

Considering their exploits at the highest level, Rishabh Pant and Mohammad Rizwan have consistently been compared with each other. However, Kaneria feels Pant is better than his Pakistani counterpart, as he rises to the occasion when it matters.

The legendary Pakistani spinner was involved in an interesting 'this or that' session during his conversation with a renowned Indian journalist. As the interviewer asked him to choose the better player between Rizwan and Pant, the wily tweaker named Pant without hesitation.

He further explained what prompted him to pick Pant, highlighting the southpaw's scintillating performances for India in crunch situations. He also recalled Rizwan's batting failure in the high-stakes T20 World Cup affair against India earlier this year.

Rishabh Pant Returns For India vs Bangladesh Tests

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant earned a much-awaited Test recall for India's upcoming home series against Bangladesh. The southpaw sustained multiple injuries due to an unfortunate car accident. The injuries made him miss plenty of action, as he couldn't feature in several key international tournaments.

However, his return certainly strengthens India's batting, as he can be their game-changer on home soil. Renowned for his ability to maul spin bowling, Pant could be India's biggest asset in the middle order. The southpaw, who was pivotal in India's historic triumph at the Gabba, would look to exploit home conditions in the high-voltage series.
