Star India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant recently made headlines for a heartwarming gesture of gratitude. After surviving a life-threatening car accident in December 2022, Pant showed immense appreciation for two men, Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, who played a important role in saving his life. 

According to the report by 7Cricket, the two individuals, who helped Pant after his tragic accident, were gifted brand-new scooters by the cricketer. The emotional moment was shared widely online, with the two boys seen riding their new scooters. 

The cricketer had previously expressed his deep thanks to Rajat and Nishu for their selfless act, stating in a post on his X account back in January 2023

“I may not have been able to thank everyone individually, but I must acknowledge these two heroes who helped me during my accident and ensured I got to the hospital safely. Rajat Kumar & Nishu Kumar, Thank you. I’ll be forever grateful and indebted,” Pant had posted.

Taking a look at the cricket front, Rishabh Pant is currently in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India’s first Test in Perth began on November 22, with India batting first and being bowled out for just 150 runs. 

However, Pant's contribution with the bat stood out, as he scored 37 runs off 78 deliveries in what was a challenging day for the Indian batting line-up. Despite the batting collapse, India made a strong comeback with the ball, with significant contribution from stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah.
