Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni Celebrate Diwali Together; Check Sakshi Dhoni's Post Here

Members of Team India celebrated Diwali on Saturday evening in Bangalore, and then on Sunday, with a stellar win over the Netherlands in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, several former and out-of-action players observed the festival of lights in their own fashion.

Two of Indian cricket's most cherished wicketkeeper batters, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rishabh Pant, celebrated the occasion of Deepawali together in a family gathering in Dubai.

Earlier, Pant also exchanged Diwali festivities with former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting.

Dhoni's wife, Sakshi Dhoni, took to the social media site Instagram and shared pictures from their Diwali celebrations, which could witness the closeness Pant and Dhoni share as well.

The former India captain has been an inspiration for Pant and several other younger wicketkeepers in India, which makes him quite approachable and acts as a mentor despite his retirement from international cricket.

Sakshi's Insta post read, "Happy Diwali from us to all of you ! 🙏🏻🪔 #diwaliwithdewans ❤️"

Pant's admiration for Dhoni goes a long way, with the former celebrating the latter's birthday earlier this year during his stay at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Meanwhile, both Dhoni and Pant are aiming to return to cricket after injury setbacks, with Ganguly confirming that the latter will lead the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 and the former preparing for his title defense with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming edition.
