After a lot of hue and cry for Rinku Singh's non selection in the T20I series against WI, the highly talented player, is all set to make India debut in the series against Ireland.

As per reports, The Aligarh star who gave his best during the IPL, will be rewarded by the BCCI, as the southpaw is likely to get a call-up in the T20I team for the highly anticipated tour.

Here What The BCCI Source Said

“Rinku and other players who did well in the IPL will fly to Ireland as the selection committee doesn’t want to try everyone at one stage. There are seven players of the Indian ODI team who are not going to play T20 as those players are key for us going ahead as they will be playing Asia Cup in late August,”

The source also added "There are seven players of the Indian ODI team who are not going to play T20 as those players are key for us going ahead as they will be playing Asia Cup in late August,"

With the Ireland tour coming just a few days after the West Indies tour, it is speculated that several key players will be rested for the series, keeping in mind the workload management and the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup 2023. Moreover, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Jitesh Sharma will likely get a India call-up for the Ireland tour as well.

The Selection panel also requested BCCI to sort more India A matches to test the outskirt players before inducting them in the senior team.
