India’s hearts skipped a beat when Jasprit Bumrah walked off the field during the second session of the fifth Test at the SCG. The Indian skipper, who’s been a thorn in Australia’s side this series, looked far from his usual self, bowling a solitary over post-lunch at reduced speeds before heading off.

Indian Fans Breathe Easy As Bumrah Makes His Way Back To The Ground

Fans feared the worst, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel as Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the ground, sparking hope that the scans might deliver good news.

Just when it seemed like the worst was about to unfold, Bumrah was spotted making his way back into the SCG. Though his condition remains under wraps, the mere sight of him has lifted Indian spirits. India’s Battle In The Middle

Meanwhile, India’s Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja have taken the fight to the Aussies. Pant, in particular, has been on a rampage, smashing a blistering 29-ball fifty: India’s second-fastest in Test cricket. 

At 124/4 with a lead of 128 runs, India has some breathing space but needs Pant and Jadeja to dig deep and push the lead past 200 to stay in control.
