In a significant development, England have named two separate 15-member squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh.
Uncapped Somerset batter Tom Abell and promising spinner Rehan Ahmed, who was impressive on the Pakistan tour, have earned their maiden call-up in white-ball cricket.
After a string of poor performances, swashbuckling batter Ben Duckett has been excluded from the ODI squad. However, he has made it into the T20Is.
In another notable event, David Willy and Olly Stone have been replaced by Mark Wood and Saqib Mahmood in the ODI squad. Furthermore, young sensation Harry Brook has been left out probably to manage his workload.
Meanwhile, young batter Will Jacks has been rewarded with a T20I slot following his exceptional performance in the ongoing SA20 competition.
The rest of the squad has been picked on the expected lines, with the core members, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Reece Topley, Dawid Malan and Chris Woakes, present in both teams.
