With the IPL 2025 season now behind us, the spotlight shifts to regional cricket as the Vidarbha Pro T20 League gears up for action from June 5 to 15. The tournament will feature six teams, with all 18 matches scheduled at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur.

The VCA has appointed former pacer Umesh Yadav and women’s cricket legend Jhulan Goswami as the official brand ambassadors. 

Among the biggest talking points ahead of the tournament is the participation of Jitesh Sharma. He is fresh off a historic IPL title win with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).The RCB star will now be seen captaining the NECO Master Blaster side in the Vidarbha Pro T20 League.

Jitesh Sharma's Stellar IPL Form 

The explosive wicketkeeper-batter had a stellar IPL 2025 campaign. He made 261 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 176.35 and an average of 37.28. His contributions included a well-crafted half-century, along with 24 fours and 17 sixes.

With the momentum on his side, Jitesh is expected to be one of the key attractions of the Vidarbha Pro T20 League. He will kick off his campaign on June 6 (Friday), when NECO Master Blaster takes on Bharat Rangers at 2:45 PM IST.

The Vidarbha Pro T20 League will, however, miss out on a few big names. Karun Nair and Harsh Dubey will be unavailable. Nair has been called up to India’s Test squad for the upcoming five-match series against England.
