The wait is over and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoff matches begin on Thursday with the Qualifier 1 taking place between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Mullanpur Stadium. The winner of this match will directly reach the IPL finale.
PBKS and RCB finished 1 and 2 in the points tally and thus they will play the Qualifier 1 and the loser will get another chance to reach the finals. Talking about RCB, the new-looked team has shattered all expectations and are genuine contenders to clinch the title.
Kohli aims to break the jinx in playoffs
One of their key players this season has been Virat Kohli as the opener has been in stupendous form and will look to continue his domination against PBKS.
However, ahead of the all-important match, Kohli finds himself in an unwanted list as he aims to break the jinx. Despite playing 15 times in playoffs, the RCB great is yet to win a single Man of the Match award. While in certain matches he has done well, the veteran batter doesn't have that one individual trophy in his cabinet.

Jadeja, Rayudu | 23 |

Ravindra Jadeja and Ambati Rayudu tops the unwanted chart as the duo, despite playing 23 matches have not won a single Player of the Match award. Kohli has played 15 matches and is yet to taste success in the playoffs.
