As the IPL 2025 Playoffs get underway,  the two most loved teams Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will clash in Qualifier 1 on Thursday at the New PCA Stadium in Mullanpur. It is important to note that both teams are eyeing their first-ever IPL trophy. 

PBKS has been the team to beat this season, finishing at the top of the table for only the second time in their history. RCB are also in formidable form, setting the stage for a blockbuster encounter in Chandigarh. 

Having said all this, in this article, let's take a look at the players with most runs in IPL playoffs.

Suresh Raina

  • Known as Mr. IPL, Suresh Raina has been a consistent performer in knockout games. His ability to score under pressure and pace the innings made him crucial player for CSK in multiple playoff runs.

MS Dhoni

Shubman Gill

  • The youngest name on the list, Shubman Gill has been sensational in recent seasons. His consistent performances for Gujarat Titans in back-to-back playoffs have already made him a modern playoff star.

Faf du Plessis

  • The South African veteran has delivered crucial innings for both CSK and RCB. In playoffs Faf du Plessis have made 390 runs in 15 innings at a strike-rate of 130.43. 

Shane Watson

  •  Known for his explosive starts, Watson’s century in the 2018 final for CSK remains one of the most iconic playoff performances in IPL history.

PBKS have played only 4 playoff matches in their history and have a single win, which came in 2014. RCB have reached the finals three times (2009, 2011, 2016) but are yet to clinch the title.
