Indian superstar Virat Kohli will be gearing up for a high-class clash against the rampant South African side in the World Cup 2023, which will be played in Kolkata. However, on 5th October, when the battle will happen, Kohli will be celebrating his 35th birthday, but that won't stop him from giving his best versus the African nation.

Meanwhile, wishes started to pour in from all corners of the world, calling Virat the greatest player of the era and what not. Joining the wagon is the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings, who uniquely wished Kohli.

Quoting an old Tweet (Now X) of Virat from March 16, 2010, where he wrote about scoring runs for his side in the upcoming game, Punjab mentioned that the rest is history.

"Looking Forward to scoring lots of runs for my Team.."

Virat has been one of the top performers in the global circuit for a number of years, and his ability to score runs under pressure has made him the most resilient batter of the era.

Adding to it, the Indian number 3 has had a great World Cup so far with 442 runs in seven games at an average of 88.40, as he holds the third position on the charts currently.

Moreover, he has managed to smash 48 ODI hundreds, just behind the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who stands at 49 tons in One-Day cricket. Nevertheless, when he takes the field against the Proteas on Sunday, everyone would hope that he gets to the milestone.
