Currently enjoying the form of a lifetime, Zimbabwe's star all-rounder Sikandar Raza has signed up with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club (NCCC) for the upcoming season of T20 Blast 2024.

Recently, Raza, 37, became the first T20I batter to hit five consecutive half-centuries and is ranked fifth in ICC's T20I All-Rounder Rankings, which adds to his impressive on-and-off field laurels.

The Zimbabwe all-rounder, who has featured in almost every T20 League - Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, Caribbean Premier League, and Bangladesh Premier League - will for the first time feature in England's premier domestic T20 competition with his new stint with Northamptonshire.

In a statement, Raza expressed his delight over joining the esteemed County, and looked forward sharing the dressing room with other players.

It's always been a wish to play in the T20 Blast - Sikandar Raza

"I'm delighted to be coming to Northamptonshire. This will be a different challenge for me but I've loved playing cricket in England in the past. It's always been a wish to play in the Vitality Blast so I'm looking forward to fulfilling that. I would like to entertain the fans and put a smile on their face with as many wins as possible."

Head coach John Sadler, in his welcome praise, called the all-rounder a three-dimensional cricketer, who will be available to play in all 14 group matches in T20 Blast 2024.

In 203 T20s, Raza has amassed 4,211 runs and picked up 117 wickets, which include 28 fifties, and three four-wicket hauls.
