As the Champions Trophy returns, Pakistan is proudly hosting an ICC event after long. Prior to host the marquee event, Pakistan’s main concern was improving the infrastructure and the Pakistan Cricket Board has successfully completed that.

As Pakistan prepares to face South Africa in the ongoing tri-series at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on February 12, the venue will kick off the action with the grand unveiling of its brand-new pavilion on February 11.

PCB To Unveil Brand New Pavilion

After a long wait, Pakistan is set to host an ICC event once again. With the upcoming Champions Trophy, their main focus has been on developing cricketing infrastructure across the nation. As the tournament nears, PCB announced that, National Bank Stadium, Karachi’s new pavilion at the University End will be unveil on February 11. This marks a significant step forward for the board ahead of the Champions Trophy.

A monumental task that involved over 5,000 workers has brought the dreams of cricket fans to life. The National Stadium has seen significant upgrades, including new seating layouts and enhanced ground facilities.

What Will the Ground Serve in the Upcoming Champions Trophy?

Taking on a massive challenge, the PCB completed the monumental task of revamping the National Bank Stadium in just four months. The newly constructed venue boasts world-class dressing rooms, top-tier hospitality suites, and a complete overhaul of the seating arrangements, adding 5,000 more seats.

Adding to this, 350 LED lights has been involved to improve the quality. While two digital screens will keep fans entertained and engaged throughout the match, ensuring a thrilling atmosphere.

Mohsin Naqvi’s Take On That

Karachi has produces some of the brightest cricket talents of Pakistan and the venue hosted some unforgettable cricket matches. While unveiling the stadium, PCB will host all the hardworking workers at the stadium. While talking about this, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi shares his take on that grand reception.

“This upgrade is a testament to our vision of elevating Pakistan’s cricketing venues to international standards. The National Bank Stadium, which last saw a major overhaul during the 1996 World Cup, now stands as a modern, world-class facility that will not only host domestic and international matches but also provide players and fans with a top-tier experience.” Naqvi said.

“The incredible workforce behind this transformation deserves immense appreciation. Their hard work has made it possible for us to proudly present the National Bank Stadium as a world-class venue, ready to welcome top cricketing action.” Naqvi added.

As the Champions Trophy is raising its curtains on February 19, the cricket fans of Pakistan is set to witness some incredible cricket actions on Pakistani soil.
