On Wednesday, Australia will take on England in the fourth Ashes Test at the iconic Old Trafford in Manchester. Ahead of the high-voltage face-off, skipper Pat Cummins has given a massive hint at Australia's playing XI in this game.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Cummins revealed that Australia would persist with veteran batter David Warner despite his poor batting form. Notably, Warner has had a forgettable Ashes 2023, managing only 141 runs at a modest average of 23.50. However, it seems Australia will provide the swashbuckling southpaw with another chance to prove his worth.

Meanwhile, Cummins also revealed that the visitors would likely field Cameron Green, who missed the last Test owing to a hamstring injury. But considering how Mitchell Marsh performed at Headingley, they won't drop him, which means Todd Murphy will make way for Green.

Furthermore, as per reports, Australia will likely bring Josh Hazlewood back into the playing XI, benching Scott Boland, who has been unimpressive on the tour so far. Hazlewood was rested in Leeds and will participate in the final two Tests of the series.
