NZC Announces Men’s and Women’s Home Summer Fixtures

image-lk7zx2x7New Zealand Women's team will play 14 home games in the 2023-34 cycle.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced an exciting summer of international cricket, featuring high-profile series against South Africa and Australia as part of the new ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. The action-packed schedule, comprising 32 internationals, will kick off with the White Ferns facing Pakistan in three T20Is and three ODIs, starting December 3 in Dunedin.

A standout feature of the home international season is the inclusion of 10 double-headers, a move aimed at catering to different audiences and optimizing the playing program in an era of climate change awareness.

The Black Caps, who have never won a Test series against South Africa, will have the opportunity to do so in matches held in Tauranga and Hamilton. Following this, they will host World Test Champions Australia in Wellington and Christchurch, renewing their rivalry after a gap of five years.

In addition to these series, the Black Caps will engage in ODI and T20I contests against Bangladesh in December, followed by a five-match T20I series against Pakistan in January. The team will then face Australia in three T20Is, two of which will take place at Eden Park.

On the women's side, New Zealand will welcome Pakistan for T20I and ODI series, and England for five T20Is and three ODIs.

NZC CEO David White expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming summer schedule, highlighting the opportunity to enhance the game's popularity in the country. He emphasized the accessibility for fans to attend matches or watch them live on TV at no cost.
