Rishab Pant frustrated over botched no-ball decision
The Indian Premier League witnessed some high voltage fiasco as the Delhi Capitals took on the Rajasthan Royals in the 'Match 33'. While the Royals emerged victorious by fifteen runs courtesy of a subliminal knock from opener Jos Buttler, the innings was overshadowed by the controversy in the final over of the contest.
The Capitals needed 36 runs off the last six balls, which seemed like an impossible task with the side down to just three wickets. However, Robvman Powell brought the stage on fire with two consecutive maximums off the first two deliveries to put the pressure on Obed McCoy. The West Indian bowling to his compatriot attempted a yorker that turned into a waist-high full toss that was smashed into the stands by Powell.
The batter quickly turned to the on-field umpires searching for a no-ball sign. However, the umpires were rigid in considering the ball a fair delivery which enraged the Delhi Capital players. Skipper Rishab Pant wanted to call his troops back and seemed annoyed at the call from the umpires.
Jos Buttler steals the show; umpires ruin the night
Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler who is red hot from his sizzling performances in the ongoing edition, has created a record for most runs in IPL history and subsequently overtook Virat Kohli.
The explosive batsman has smashed three centuries in seven innings and has a total of 491 runs in the season. Buttler delivered a spectacular 116 and drove his team to victory. Nicknamed 'Jos the Boss', Buttler has been executing a season that batsmen can only dream of.

Ricky Ponting misses DC's encounter as family member tests positive
The Covid-19 scare is continuing to affect the Delhi Capitals' dressing room. Two days after Tim Seifert and Mitchell Marsh were tested positive, head coach Ricky Ponting has been quarantined as one of his family members staying with him in the hotel has returned a covid positive report.
Delhi took to their Twitter to make the announcement known, "Ponting himself has tested negative twice subsequently. However, in the best interest of the team, the management and medical team have decided that he will remain in isolation for five days, as he was a close contact."

Pakistan international Shan Masood became the first name in Derbyshire’s history to score consecutive double centuries to his name as Leicestershire's bowlers were put to the test on day two of the County Championship match.
The batter from Pakistan smashed 219 runs to his name, outscoring the total put up by Leicestershire's team in the first innings. The player smacked 24 fours and a six as Derbyshire racked and put up a massive total of 401 runs in the day to reach 437-4 and lead by 224.
Masood's magnificent innings followed his 239 in last week's draw against Sussex, giving him an aggregate of 611 runs from his first four innings for Derbyshire, establishing another county record to his name.
Shafali Verma leads the charge as Haryana emerge triumphant
Verma has been on the top of her game and leading the side by example. Up against a challenging opposition in Bengal, the power-hitter scored a nonchalant 75* to get her team over the line.
Electing to bat first, Bengal kept losing wickets at regular intervals and ended with 137/7 in 20 overs. Indian all-rounder, Deepti Sharma, registered the highest score of 43 off 36 balls.
