Royal Challengers Bangalore will be determined to continue their winning momentum as they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on 23rd April at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.  

With five wins in seven matches, the Royal Challengers are placed at the second spot on the points table. They are coming off an 18-run victory against Lucknow Super Giants in their previous game.

One of the biggest positives for RCB from the game against LSG is the return of a form of skipper Faf du Plessis, who couldn't contribute much with the bat after a brilliant start against Punjab Kings. 

The South African smacked 96 versus Lucknow to help RCB post a good total at the scoreboard, which their bowlers defended successfully to hand RCB their fifth win of the season. 

Heading into their eighth game, RCB will expect their top order to fire with the bat, including Virat Kohli, who has just scored 119 runs from seven games. Their bowling, which has been a niggling issue for quite some time, looks sorted now with the inclusion of Josh Hazlewood, who is picking wickets in powerplay and death overs.    

The Sunrisers, on the other hand, after a shaky start, went on to register four back-to-back wins and are currently placed at the fifth position in the standings. 

They have found a gem in the form of Rahul Tripathi at the top, who has been scoring runs for them since day one. Aiden Markam and Nicholas Pooran kept a check on the middle order while finishing the games for Hyderabad. 

Kane Williamson has been anchoring the innings at the top alongside Abhishek Sharma, who has looked in good touch in the last couple of games. Their bowling seems sorted with Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and T Natarajan keeping the opposition on their toes. A thrilling match beckons at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday, with both sides aiming for two crucial points.
