The Asia Cup did not start on the best note for the men in green after they failed to win a closely fought match against arch-rivals India. Pakistan lost the match by 5 wickets

Since they lost their first match against India, their clash against Hong Kong on Friday at Sharjah will be a knockout match in the metaphorical sense.

However, sources report that The men in green will be forced to bring in a few changes in their next match.

During the match against India, speedsters Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf seemed to be struggling quite a bit with cramps and it is being reported that the duo might be rested for the next match. Hasan Ali and Mohammad Hasnain will be the most probable substitutions in that case.

Fitness has been an issue in the Pakistan camp in the recent times

The fitness of the players has been an issue of concern in the Pakistan team since the last few months. The medical team and the support staff have reportedly been unable to plan adequate fitness programmes for the cricketers which is leading to multiple players sustaining injuries.

Injuries jolted Pakistan's Asia Cup campaign even before the tournament started. Shaheen Afridi sustained a knee injury while Mohammad Wasim Jr. Was ruled out of the tournament with a back injury he picked up during one of the training sessions.
