Grant Bradburn has been appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team. The ‘Men in Green’ are scheduled to host New Zealand in the upcoming five-match T20I and five-match ODI series.

A former New Zealand cricketer himself, Bradburn has been previously associated with Pakistan cricket. He was appointed as team’s fielding coach in September 2018, before becoming the head of high-performance coaching for the side. Later, the cricketer-turned-coach resigned in October 2021 citing family reasons.

Bradburn returns to Pakistan cricket in new role

Grant Bradburn is expected to land in Lahore on April 11, i.e. a few days before the commencement of Pakistan’s five-match T20I tussle against the New Zealanders.

While Bradburn has already been appointed for the top role, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to make an official statement about the same following the completion of their recruitment process. As of now, Pakistan Cricket is undergoing a major revamp in the coaching staff.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s T20I series against New Zealand will launch with the first match on April 14 in Lahore. The venue will also host the subsequent two games before action shifts to Rawalpindi.

The tour will continue with the ODI series, set to be played between April 27 and May 7 across Rawalpindi and Karachi.
