The Indian batting great, Virat Kohli, has been a stalwart for the Indian team for over a decade, leaving an indelible mark with his exceptional batting performances across formats.

Back in the day, Virat Kohli had a knack for winning ICC awards every now and then, consistently topping the charts in the ICC rankings across all formats.

Meanwhile, on this day back in 2019, the stylish right-hander achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first cricketer ever to claim all three major ICC awards in a single year.

In a display of excellence in international cricket, Kohli had completed a hat-trick by winning the ODI Cricketer of the Year, Test Cricketer of the Year, and the 2018 Cricketer of the Year awards.

The Delhi batter had finished as the highest scorer in Test cricket in 2018 with 1322 runs in 13 matches at an average of 55.08 with five hundreds and as many half-centuries to his name.

The 34-year-old had also finished on top of the ODI runs chart with 1202 runs in 14 ODI matches at a staggering strike rate of 133.55 with six centuries to his name.

Kohli had secured his second consecutive ODI Cricketer of the Year award and Cricketer of the Year award, while it was the first time he had bagged the Test Cricketer of the Year award.

Virat Kohli, after all these years, remains unwavering in his commitment to contribute significantly with his bat for the Indian team. In the 2023 World Cup held in India, he stood out as the top run-getter for the team.
