No NOC For Asif Ali, Dahani As PCB Rejects Pakistan Players In Zim Afro T10 League 2024

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declined to issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to national cricketers for the upcoming Zim Afro T10 League 2024 season. According to reports, the PCB’s decision of neglecting NOCs can be attributed to the fact that the Zim Afro T10 League has not been approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The Zim Afro T10 League 2024 season is scheduled to commence from September 21 onwards and the tournament will be hosted by the Harare Sports Club.

PCB denies NOC to Pakistan cricketers, again!

According to reports, the PCB has clarified that Pakistan cricketers will not be receiving an NOC for participating in the Zim Afro T10 League 2024 season.

Several Pakistan-based players like Haider Ali, Yasir Shah, Salman Arshad, Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Asif Ali and Shahnawaz Dahani are slated to take part in the eight-day tournament in Harare.

While sources indicate that PCB’s strict stance is attributed to the fact that the Zim Afro T10 League has not been approved by the ICC, the Pakistan board also denied NOCs to several of its players earlier this year from participating in Global T20 Canada and The Hundred.

Senior Pakistan players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan were denied NOCs to participate in the Global T20 Canada 2024 season. Young fast bowler Naseem Shah was also denied an NOC for Men’s The Hundred 2024 season, citing workload management for the paceman.

The Pakistan cricket players constitute a major part of global franchise-based T10/T20 cricket tournaments all over the world. Barring IPL, Pakistan players can be spotted competing in several prominent leagues like The Hundred, Big Bash League, Lanka Premier League, CPL, Global T20 Canada, and BPL among others.
