No Archer; Starc, Head, Rachin Headline 1166 Registered Players For IPL 2024 Auctions

Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Rachin Ravindra, and Daryl Mitchell were among the 1,168 players who made themselves available for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hence, they all will be up for grabs when the bidding war will be on December 19 in Dubai during the auction process, as confirmed by Cricbuzz.

However, Jofra Archer, who has been released by Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the forthcoming auction, has not registered himself for participation.


Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood, who is expected to be unavailable for the majority of the IPL 2024, has also registered his name for the auctions.

Of the players who have registered, 830 are from India, whereas 336 are from other countries. There are 45 Associate players, 909 uncapped, and 212 capped players on the list.

Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, Manish Pandey are the most popular faces among the 18 capped players, who will also have Varun Aaron, KS Bharat, Kedar Jadhav, Siddarth Kaul, Dhawal Kulkarni, Shivam Mavi, Shahbaz Nadeem, Karun Nair, Hanuma Vihari, Sandeep Warrier, Chetan Sakariya, Mandeep Singh, and Barinder Sran.

Harshal Patel, Kedar Jadhav, Shardul Thakur, and Umesh Yadav are the only capped players who have set their base price at INR 2 crore. The others, on the other hand, have a base price of INR 50 lakh.

In addition, franchises have been asked to respond with any additional player requests that are not on the Auction Register by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). If the requested players are qualified and interested, they will be added to the auction automatically.
