AB de Villiers, one of the world’s most beloved cricketers, will be the latest brand ambassador of the upcoming SA20 League, South Africa’s elite T20 competition. The 39-year-old, who was born in Pretoria, will be the face of the tournament, which will begin on January 10.

In 2023, SA20 featured six teams - Pretoria Capitals, Joburg Super Kings, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Paarl Royals, Durban Super Giants, and MI Cape Town - competing for the coveted trophy. Eastern Cape and Pretoria were finalists, in which the former, under the leadership of Aiden Markram, won the title.


Since all six sides are sub franchises of IPL teams, de Villiers' addition is definitely huge news for cricket fans worldwide.
