Nicholas Pooran announced his retirement from International cricket on June 10, 2025, and the world was in shock, as he was only 29 years old, an age when many players still debut on the international stage today. 

More of the reason why his retirement was shocking to the cricketing community was his ability to perform. In his recent IPL 2025 appearance too, he had a blistering season with a massive run of sixes. 1. 10th Most Dismissals in T20I As A Wicketkeeper

In his T20I career, Pooran had been a stellar wicketkeeper too besides his batting duties. He stands 10th in the list of wicketkeepers with the most dismissals. In a list topped by Quinton de Kock and MS Dhoni, Pooran garnered 61 wickets with 8 stumpings throughout his T20I career.

2. Ranks 5th In Most Sixes In T20I Career

Pooran, known for his blistering performance throughout his career was a star with Sixes. Trailing behind Jos Buttler, Pooran hit 149 sixes in his international T20I career where Rohit Sharma tops with his massive count of 205. Pooran achieved this feat while maintaining a strike rate of 136.39 in his 106 matches.

3. 3rd Most Consecutive Innings Without A Duck In T20Is

Nicholas Pooran holds the third-highest record for most consecutive innings without a duck in T20 Internationals, showcasing his remarkable consistency with the bat. Between March 5, 2021, and November 14, 2024, the West Indies batter played 71 consecutive T20I innings without being dismissed for zero. Only David Miller and MS Dhoni have achieved longer such streaks.

4. Ranks 8th For Most Catches In T20I Career

Adding to his glorious wicketkeeping career, Pooran finished his international career with an impressive tally of 53 catches in T20Is, placing him among the top wicketkeepers in the format's history. 

Pooran featured in 106 T20Is and kept wickets in 75 innings, during which he accounted for 53 catches. His best performance in a single innings was three catches, and his dismissals-per-innings ratio stood at 0.813.
