One of the main reasons behind West Indies' historic triumph in the five-match T20I series against India was the form of former captain Nicholas Pooran.

Pooran starred for the Windies in the decider on Sunday, scoring a quick-fire 47 off 35, as the hosts chased down 166 runs in just 18 overs, ensuring the Rovman Powell-led XI clinched the five-T20I series 3-2.

Pooran, who ended up being the highest run-getter in the series, also won the 'Man of the Series' award for his performance, took to micro-vlogging site Instagram, and shared an image of his bruised body.

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter got hit first in the abdomen by an Arshdeep Singh delivery and then by a Brandon King drive on the left forearm while standing at the non-striekr's end.

Pooran captioned the post " The after effects thank you brandon king and arsdeep"

Pooran also shared several posts about Hardik Pandya's comment on the former trying to hit the all-rounder for six if possible. Interestingly, the explosive batter struck India's stand-in skipper for consecutive sixes in the fifth and final encounter.
