Nepal have booked themselves a place in the Asia Cup 2023 edition after beating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by seven wickets in the final of the ACC Men's Premier Cup 2023. In a match that lasted two days thanks to rain interruptions, Nepal chased down the 118-run target set by the UAE, thanks to an unbeaten 67 by Gulsan Jha in Kirtipur on Tuesday morning.

With this win, Nepal will take the final spot in Group A, alongside former champions India and Pakistan. The Asia Cup is due to take place in September and will act as a precursor to the ICC World Cup 2023 in India in October. Defending Champions Sri Lanka are placed in Group B along with Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The top three teams in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023 i.e. Nepal, UAE, and Oman have directly qualified for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in July, where they will take on 'A' teams of five full members from the region.

Speaking of ACC Men's Premier League 2023, Nepal finished as table-toppers in Group A with three wins and one no-result.

Their semi-final match against Kuwait ended in a no-result due to rain, where on account of topping Group A they reached the final.

Nepal opting to bowl first on Monday, bundled out UAE for 117 this morning with match resuming on 106 for 9. Lalit Rajbanshi starred with the ball for Nepal picking up four wickets.
