In a significant development, the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will likely be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3. The announcement was made following a series of high-level meetings conducted by the BCCI on Tuesday, May 20. 

The BCCI earlier also confirmed that the remaining games would be played at six venues: Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

It is important to mention that the tournament was paused for a week due to India-Pakistan tensions. So the final with was schedule on May 25 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata earlier is  rescheduled to June 3 at Ahmedabad purely based on the rainy forecast.

According to the reports by Cricbuzz, the BCCI has also identified Mullanpur, New Chandigarh as the venue for the first two matches of the IPL 2025 playoffs. The cash-rich league will likely conclude in the world's largest stadium, which has been a regular venue for marquee cricketing events in recent years. Ahmedabad will also host Qualifier 2 on June 1. 

Playoffs To Be Played At Mullanpur

Meanwhile, the playoffs will kick off in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, with Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator scheduled for May 29 and May 30, respectively. According to sources, the BCCI opted for these venues based on weather forecasts, as the onset of the rainy season could disrupt play in other parts of the country.

This allocation of venues is to ensure that the playoffs and final are played under the best possible conditions, maintaining the integrity and excitement of the tournament.
